I wanted to but was so shocked at the situation I couldn't. The guy was balling and my instincts were to have the police take care of the guy. I had been living in Korea for only a few months at the time and didn't know how things worked.
It was really bizarre.

Rape is the worst crime, up there with murder. Rapists deserve nothing but contempt and hatred. They never desrve pity. They must be destroyed at every given opportunity. No pity. No remorse for destroying a rapist. You should have cracked open his skull. |

Saving face. That's what's important here.

She didn't have the ability to "save her face" in this instance, did she. |

Your instincts I believe were right, well done. Anyone who advocates kicking a man when he is crying on the floor obviously wants to live anarchy.
I don't attack a man who can't defend himself. That's wrong.
Weird that the boss wouldn't call the police, but the guy did lose his job and will likely have a lot of trouble finding another one, with a family to support he got punishment enough I think. |

There is the theory that "justice" has little to do with "law" |

Yes Beck, or to flip what you say on its head: that the LAW has little to do ( or for that matter interest ) in JUSTICE. |

Um yeah...the guy really was so concerned when the woman couldnt defend herself, right? Why should anyone feel sorry for vermin like that? I wouldnt. I wonder how you would feel if you were a woman and some guy did that to you. I would have to think what I would do to a guy who did that tomy wife, and I can assure you I wouldnt feel one bit of sympathy for him, even if he was reduced to a pathetic crying piece of .... |

I was mugged a couple of times back home, and the second time actually had to go to the hospital and summon my mother at four in the morning for a fretful trip to see me the emergency ward. Trust me, I considered the guys who did this to be lower than "vermin", and would've been quite EMOTIONALLY satisfied to hear that someone had smashed their brains in with a crowbar.
But, there is a greater issue than my own hatred toward the muggers. Would I want to live in a society where violent people were dealt with by having their heads smashed in with a crowbar? No. And, if my co-workers had come to me and offered to organize a vigilante mob to do that, I would've begged them not to. There is a distinction to be made between what we might desire on a base emotional level and what we think should be done in actual practice. |

Ok. Point taken. We live in a society where you rape a woman, kill a child, etc and you get put in a plush pad with TV, excercise facilities, 3 meals a day and a warm bed. It may be behind bars but its still way too good for the vermin who get put in there. Theres also something to be said for good old vigilante justice. Some guy rapes a woman and he knows that all hes gonna face is a comfy life and time off for good behavior. If OTOH he had to face a beating of a lifetime by the victim's strongest relatives behind the barn, I wonder what that would do to his thinking.
An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. Its not as primitive as you imagine. Look at the "civilised" nations. Crime is rampant. People commit the worst crimes and get out only to re-offend. Murderers are out in 10-15 years on good behavior. Rapists get out in 7...child molestors get put back into communities and back near children. If they are minors they dint even get punished most of the time. The west is a place where the rights of the community are less important than the "human rights" of vermin like this.
These people dont have rights. When they raped, murdered, molested, they gave up all rights as humans because they stopped being humans in any way shape or form other than being technically a member of this species. As predators, they must be dispensed off and eliminated because they are dead weight, a threat and a menace.
The guy in this story more than likely did this before. This guy more than likely would do it again even if "punished" by the justice system. Hopefully this beating that he got, the humiliation will make him think twice before he tries to do it again. Hopefully, because I am not convinced that what he got was his fair reward. I think it wasnt.
In the end, what really happened? A dangerous, evil cockroach lost his job, got the crap beat out of him and got exposed for the human waste he is. I say GREAT. A good deed was performed on that day. |
