Is it possible to take a certification course while teaching in Korea? If so, does anyone know where? I've heard that while they're not so much required in Asia, a cert could really help in other parts of the world.

I was hoping for something like a CELTA or TESOL certification, but I'm not really sure at this point.

Do a search for those terms on this forum. It's really easy and you'll find an encyclopedia of opinions on both of those certificates. Also search for TEFL, too.

Are you considering an online or an in-attendance option? The former has myriad choices, while the latter is mostly geared toward Korean students, the exception being the CELTA. How many hours are you looking to complete, 100 or 120?

It all depends on the reason(s) you want to take a certificate course and how that certification fits in with your goals as an ESL/EFL/ESOL instructor.
