I hope you can push me in the right direction.

My computer is a SAMSUNG ML-2250 black laserprinter

At the moment it is spewing page after page with only the top line having one or more characters on it, and it then proceeds to the next page.

I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the drivers, problem continues.
I took it of the network, problem continues.

It stops when I disconnect it from the computer, turn it of, it stops. If i then restart it doesn't print. The moment that the cable is inserted into the printer, it starts printing the garbled messages, any other print is put on hold, even if i change priorities to maximum.

My guess is that it is either a corrupt postscript file or a virus.

Additional Info
------------------
I connected it to another computer on the network, does not display the same issue

I can also print on the printer from my computer over the network

Can it be a problem on the printer port? I connected it over the analog line (i think).

You need to unplug your printer then purge your printer driver cache after you uninstall the drivers (For some stupid reason windows doesn't actually delete the cached printer drivers).. Also restart your spooler service. Currently I am using win2k so just replace the WINNT with your windows installation foldername

Steps

1. Disconnect printer. (also helps to cycle the power)
2. uninstall drivers
3. Stop printer spooler service otherwise you can't delete any directories.
(Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Services -> Print Spooler (stop)

4. Delete stuff in the spool directory.

C:\WINNT\System32\Spool\ (Inside here delete all the folders)

5. Reboot

6 .Plug in printer. (It shouldn't be able to install it now because the cache is properly purged)

7. Install Printer drivers..

8. Print Razz

This is a common Print issue with windows when a job is interupted through intentional or unintentional reasons.

For some reason i am not allowed to delete certain files, even though I am logged in as Administrator.

And problem not resolved, it did start with the first page again though

looks like this "JLstart ControlMode=Common SetTime=20080522092547 BJLEND JLSTART

I am using VISTA Ultimate by the way.

Did you Stop the printer spooler service?

If you're having problems you can also try this under "Safe Mode" Its actually much easier that way.

The thing is that your path doesn't seem to exist on VISTA.

Uhm (Original post)

Currently I am using win2k so just replace the WINNT with your windows installation foldername

C:\windows\system32\spool

You might also need to unhide systemfolders..

You didn't say what OS. I was assuming you were using winxp
