I love Alanis Morrissette... yes even being a fairly "masculine" guy and all..

what a great voice.

saw her in concert several times years back. Great stuff.

and she still has the great voice. and was aging very gracefully. Looked better in her thirties on the VH1 specials she did several years ago than she did as a young girl!!!!!

but now.. by coincidence I came across this vid of her on the Today show..

Oh, good, an Alanis Morissette fan. There's something I've been wanting to ask you guys, but you're so few and far between now.

Is her recording an album, and then re-recording that same album with the same songs in the same order ten years later but acoustic, is that an open or veiled admission that she only had ten songs in her and she's creatively dead?

Because it seems pretty open to me.

I'm more of a lit guy myself, but if one of my favorite writers redid a book in the third person instead of the first for its ten-year anniversary, I'd view that as a pretty brazen money grab.

You've got a point there. Jagged Little Pill is a masterpiece. She put so much into that, so perfectly, that if she doesn't feel like doing anything else that's ok IMO.

Didn't people pick up on her angst, women, and usher her to get help, do new age self-improvement, then her music got wishywashy and much less self-possessed? She OWNED Jagged Little Pill.

Alanis Morisette - speaking as a Canadian - is, was, and always will be an asshole. She can't play a musical instrument...can't write music...sings like a rusty hinge, and her only good point is that she was born with a mouth made for sucking ****. Which is the only way this no-talent loser ever got a record deal.

Made one album - most of which was made by other people - and has done nothing significant since. And man. That voice.

She looks totally normal healthy woman. What a strange standard you have for fat.

From a health professionals view she would certainly be considered to be in a healthy state (with regard to fat). Most of her fat seems to be on her arse and thighs. It's the abdominal fat which is the dangerous fat. Another reason why BMIs are a rather crude measure of one's healthy weight.

I always wished that she was a little cuter...but she never was.

I have never seen a sexy picture of her...if she were a little bit cute, she would be very sexy with that voice and all....jmho
