When I look toward the horizon in Busan I see the air is light grey usually. Also what seems to be morning mist or fog I suspect is a giant cloud of exhaust.

However, in Seoul if you look to the horizon it is light to dark brown.

What about L.A.? How about New York? Anyone have a direct opinion on air quality and not quotes from studies on worldwide air pollution?

I think L.A. is usually brown when there are no Santa Ana winds. I personally think L.A. pollution is worse than New York because more people drive.

I also thought LA was worse because winds go eastward, and so NY's bad air goes to the ocean, while with LA, the mountains keep it on the west coast.

L.A. pollution is world famous (or to me it seems). The horizon's are particularly famously beautiful and the brilliance of different colors are often a direct result of the pollution.

NYC on the other hand.. I lived in that city for a couple years.. and in Manhattan I never noticed any kind of haze or anything else. I'm sure its there as its a major world city. But it seemed pretty unnoticeable to my physical sensations anyhow..
