Just a theory of mine. No evidece here.


However, if you think about it, it's not that far of a stretch to at least speculate that North Korean agents may be behind some of the protests over the past month. Whether through propoganda messages or financing of portest groups.

You think about it. When Lee Myong-pak came in to office he was very popular. He also began to take a much harder stance towards the North Korean regime. In addition, he also worked to strengthen his countries relationship with the United States.

This was a big dparture from the past two Korean presidents (Noh Moo-hyun & Kim Dae-jung) who appeased the North Koreans with food and financial aid and took a stance in which criticism of Kim jong-il and his regime was essentially non-existant.

They (especially Noh Moo-hyun) also at time flamed anti-American (and anti-Japanese) sentiments.



Like I said before, Lee Muong-pak did the opposite and one of the actors most potentially effected by this new stance was the North Korean regime.

However, now with the portests and Lee Myong-pak's approval rating falling to around 20%, South Korea's president lost most of his political strength.


And you have to think that Kim Jong-il is just sitting back in one of his palaces, with a bottle of Brandi, watching a movie or two, with several young girls from his harim, just laughing and eating up the irrational and hysterical protests going on south of the 38th.

I wouldn't be surprised. I would think that they were more "involved in" rather than "behind" the protests, but you never know. It's not like it they haven't been involved in stuff before.

It's possible and there's certainly a motive, but these alone don't constitute evidence.

I think it's possible. Perhaps even likely.

They may not have hatched the original plan, but it seems likely that they are now involved in a significant manner.

I also have no proof, but that's what my gut is telling me. Damn commies.

In spite of the media missinformation and stupidity, I honestly think that Koreans have observed NAFTA, etc. and they've observed that there is nothing "FREE" about it and it just benefits Multi-national conglomerates and many good jobs have gone to Mexico and thus has been eating away the middle class in North America.

Koreans are just saying that they're not going to take it. I don't really blame them.

Frankly some of this hysteria is so ridiculous that it makes me think some outside agent has to be responsible.

Although in terms of scale and severity this comparison's an exaggeration, it reminds me a bit of the Salem Witch Trials. Any and every absurd rumor/accusation is instantly taken as gospel. A lot of these protesters really just need to chillax, or go back to science class, or both.

I've come to the point where I believe that we should ship all of the beef to North Korea.

They would be happy to have it.

Then we should pull out our military because kimchi aged under 30 months could spontaneous kill GI's due to a genetic flaw we have from eating too many hamburgers.

Then the president should make a speech about how Korea is not in our sphere of interest anymore. See if Kim gets the same message his father got.

This issue is retarded. The Korean public by and large is retarded. Sure there are a few smart individuals but let them wallow in their own stupidity. Stop supporting them, pull the military out, and stop trading with them. Then, when all this progress they've made starts disintegrating and their military budget draws huge tax increases you'll see some legitimate protests about how they want cheaper beef and rice.

Just sick of it. I'm sick of Koreans bringing it up with me. I'm sick of my students bringing it up. I'm sick of the lack of logic most these people have.

Many of my college students really believe half the population will die because of American beef. How can you even argue against such gross incompetence?

I just give the few who know better A+'s and encourage them to breed.
