Is my school required to give me a letter of release immediately upon notice of termination or only after I am actually finished? |

Unless it's in the contract, they are not required to give you one at all. If it is, then very likely it will be on the last day of work. |

Just type one up yourself and give it to them. There's gotta be someone with a red stamp you can get to do it. |

I think, however, your employer is required to give you a written letter of termination. Even though it's not a release letter, you might as well call it that.
I'm pretty sure I read on this site, maybe from ttompatz, a quote from the labor laws. Article such and such.
You might not even need one. I didn't get one, but I had to write a letter stating the reason why I was fired. I only worked for that company for a little over 2 months (this year), but now have a visa for a new company.
I wouldn't worry about the release letter. |
