Im referring to paying utilities, groceries, meals, toiletries, the basic necessities, etc.
this can either include the money you spend going out or not. i just want to get a broad estimate from all you guys currently living out there. |

The first months are always the most expensive, but once you get settled, you can spend as little as W300,000 a month (including utilities) if you eat local food and don't buy too much else. |

Don't forget to use calling cards and, if you're not using the internet at home, you should only pay 6,600 won for basic cable. Have fun! Hey, it's Korea! |

forget calling cards. If you're from Canada or the US, Skype is where it's at. |

my wife and i together spend around 1,200,000 - 1,400,000 per month. this includes utilities, food (when we don't eat at school), weekend activities, and at least one nice dinner per week. |

Well in North America the connection rate is like 4cents and then calls are about 3 or 4 (?) cents per minute to any number.
The fee per minute in say, the UK, or to a mobile over there are cost prohibitive in co mparison
If you can get your frineds and family to use Skype on the comp. Comp to comp is 100% free. |
