Does anyone know if Kimmi will take a county CRC from Texas? Do I need to get it notarized (because the idiots didn't seal it like I politely asked for) before the apostille?
I was told by the Korean Consulate in Houston to get a state one, BUT that'll take another 2 weeks and I have the county ones already and would like to get it apostilled to start a position in mid-October. I don't have too much faith in what the Consulate in Houston told me, since they really didn't know the answers to most of my questions.
So if anyone RECENTLY has tried to get an E2 from Texas, and used a county CRC, please let me know...I know ya'll out dere |

I got mine from DPS in Austin. Korean Immigration had no problem with it. |

I also got mine from the DPS in Austin, it was ready at 3pm the day after I got fingerprinted, which took two minutes after I waited less than five minutes. They'll notarize it for you so you can just drive the five miles to the apostille office.
It's your transcripts that have to be sealed, by the way, not your CRC, but it does absolutely have to be notarized before the apostille. All the apostille does is verify the notary public. Easiest to have DPS notarize it at the same time. |

i was at embassy today and they had notice that korean immigrati0n wll not accept an online cbc or state online cbc. Has anybody submitted one from Texas DPS since July 17? Seems like they changed the rules again. |

I got a background check from my local police department. Just make sure it's got a signature, and that the envelope comes with it. I didn't have mine notarized but I don't think it would hurt? |
