I have an F visa and am wondering who some of the better recruiters to call would be for some part-time work in Seoul.
Thanks |

No one even bothers helping out in the private tutoring thread, it's as good as dead. Mods shouldn't lock this. |

Try HiEnglish, although the pay isn't so great - 35,000 to 40,000 for morning classes and not so organized. |

Thanks. I tried looking on the other thread, but 14 pages is too many to look at in order to find some good recruiters. |

There are very few good recruiters for privates. There are some nice people sure but basically a recruiter for privates is a pimp. On an F visa you are worth at least 70,000 won per hour teaching business English. If any recruiter will pay you that, I will withdraw the above comment.
The other problem is many recruiting firms are struggling with a lack of teachers. Those that have a high overhead may not last the next 12 months. Less teachers means less billing hours, which in turn means less that they pimp. Further some recruiters are getting contracts at ludicrously low rates leaving them no choice but to screw the instructor. (Yes a teacher shortage means hourly rates should go up!!!)
What you need to do is target smaller companies where the decision maker cares about the cost. The smaller company benefits from not paying 120,000 won per hour and you benefit by keeping all of the fee you agree to charge (less tax of course).
I assume if you are on an F-visa you have a Korean spouse, you may need to get them on the phone cold calling or using their and their families networks. Good luck. |

Wow. I have never seen any postings for more than 50,000W per hour. Most are lowballing at 35-45K. |
