That journal's page does not at all describe a proper peer review process. Sorry. Peer review is not like leaving comments on a book at amazon.com. And that paper offers no original research. It's just a series of suppositions. Not really science. Sorry. |

All peer review is not the same. It seems to me that this
| Quote: |
PubMed requires two Formal Peer-Reviewers who:
are active or retired academic staff members of an accredited tertiary institution, who have exercised direct research and curriculum responsibilities, or
are active or retired professionals who are credited as authors of at least two papers which have been indexed in MEDLINE (PubMed)
A peer-reviewer is expected to have expertise in the discipline of medicine canvassed by the paper, or to declare areas of weakness in the "conflict-of-interest" section of the peer-review. |
is an acceptable peer review process. What about it does not satisfy you? |

You're confused. The page above simply describes pubmed's goal post for peer review. This does not mean the journal matches that. This journal's idea of peer review is like leaving comments on amazon.com.

That last quote is from someone's blog!
You are the one who is confused. You are confusing informal with formal peer review.

bold is mine
Furthermore, the JOIMR adheres to the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors including those for peer review.

You can settle the matter by going to pubmed.com and finding one citation of this journal in pubmed. Sorry, its peer review method is one not recognized by legit journals. It amounts to people posting reviews on amazon.com. |
