My typical dinner is to go to a restaurant and point to the menu on the wall and say give me that...

One day I ordered something called "san ji"... it's a very spicy soup

It has coagulated cow's blood in it.

Not Korean, but raw sea cucumber at a sushi joint was a unique experience.

In Korea:

raw liver
live minnows
live shrimp
silkworm larvae -- everybody's favorite

Ahhh, it all seems normal now.

Just bundaegi and boshintang. Liked neither. Oh, and Dak Bal. Didn't like that either.
I have seen soup with the congealed blood in it. Bleah.

Beondaegi (aka silkworm pupae) rocks. Can't get enough of the stuff.

How could you eat liver? The liver is a filter. Jeez. Might as well chew on a Brita water filter for dessert while you're at it.

It's about the foulest smelling substance around. I ate some while on a bender a few years ago and it came right back up. My wife loves them.

Wife: Ooooooooooo Beondaegi!
Me: Bugs....gross.
Wife: They aren't bugs!
Me: They aren't?
Wife: They're food.
Me: Is a caterpillar a bug?
Wife: Yes!
Me: Is a moth or butterfly a bug?
Wife: Yes!
Me: So what is in between a caterpiller and a moth?
Wife: Food!
Me: Ahhhhhhhhhhhrgh! Fine. But if you eat that stuff keep your lips away from mine 'till you've brushed your teeth.
Wife: (Pouts) But they aren't bugs!
Me: I give up!

Kimchi is first
Dog soup is second
Those street waffles are third - just the smell makes me want to vomit Sad

Sashimi with gold flake.

Like when you accidentally chew some tinfoil... BZZZZZTKERCHANG.

Oh, and at seafood BBQ, a giant, huge shellfish- kind of like a clam, cooked in the shell. Then open it, and whammy, a piece of meat the size of an almond...
