Halloween is my favorite holiday. But it's not even recognized in Korea.
I have my old costumes but no where to trick or treat.
How are all of you spending your halloween day (and night). Are there places with trick or treating that I have yet to learn about?

If you want to trick-or-treat in K-land: shave your head, dress in saffron-coloured robes, knock on peoples' doors and hold out a bowl... you'll probably get some rice. Wink

Some of the hagwons do Halloween, but I wouldn't expect to see it in public schools. You might see a little in the cities as they do some Halloween.

All the schools in my local area are going on a hiking trip on Halloween.

All of the bars in Itaewon will be doing a big night for this both Friday and Saturday. Especially I would suggest the Wolfhound and Gecko's. The King's Tap in Sinchon is having a party. Not sure if it's on the Friday or Saturday night. The costumes that people come up with are always insane. My favorite is the Korean hiker costume of course.

If your in MASAN.

There is a Halloween party at Uncle Tom's Bar in HapSeonDong.
Near the Bus Terminal.

HapSeongDong borders Changwon at PalYongDong.

There was totally a pack of highschoolers trick-or-treating in my neighborhood (in Suwon) LAST weekend. There were scary masks and cat ears and everything . . .

Saw a couple of guys in Itaewon Friday night.

One was dress in a nurses outfit, the other in a school girl get up.

They weren't the local trannies, these guys had some whiskers.
