I've been here about 2 months and it seems that almost every western guy that I meet has been here longer than me, knows everything about everything, want's to patronize me, and desparately, desparately needs to get a haircut!
That's all for now...except that you might want to give those eyebrows a trim...after all isn't this the annoying newbie season when one or two attractive western women show up on the scene?
And to that guy that I almost threw up on due to my first serious soju experience, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to reject you that hard. |

We all know that Western dudes are a commodity here, primarily because Western women, by and large, don't go for the Korean guys.
Ergo, don't complain too much ladies, unless you brought a rabbit with you. |

Okay, we'll get the haircut. But the patronising will never stop. The agony must be endured forever. |

If my hair was any shorter I'd be bald. |

It's a sub.. sub.. subconscious fashion statement as to not get mistaken for a GI. Damn that word gets me every time. |

Weird. I've had the opposite experience. I always see these clean-cut dorks who desperately need to grow their hair out a bit. |

Weird here, too. This is something I think to myself on a daily basis as yet another, metrosexual 20-something Korean passes by. (along with "lose the silk scarf", "lose the LV" and so on) |

Let me guess- you weigh at least 300 lbs, have a mustache, don't shave anywhere, and you think you're "beautiful" because everyone stares at you on the subway. |

greyish mullet + crazy eybrows = commodity?
That might be true for those who do weigh on the heavy side, but I shave when necessary (did I spell that right?) and I'm usually considered charming and attractive.
Still, I feel like a magnet for ill groomed guys who tell me things like wear a watch (I'd rather not) and to be more ladylike. Once in Itaewon, I threw one leg over the side of my chair (was wearing jeans) and this guy told me not to sit with my legs open! It's not like he could see China! I'd taken his e-mail addy, but he's unlikely to ever hear from me again. |
