Hi all, I am curious to hear your opinions.
I've read many threads discussing how western men prefer to date the Korean ladies over the western ones (I'm guessing alot has to do with the "intrigue" of someone other than the "norm") that aside, I'm curious...
Do you western women (British, Canadian, Austrailian or American etc...) prefer to continue dating the less available western man (usually your fellow teachers) or the typical Korea men ?
Also, I have read threads with several of you mentioning, your (Korean) spouses. Did you meet your spouses once in Korea, or in the country you're from ?
Just curious, and hope I'm not stepping on too many toes, being so personal. |

| I like dating western women in korea. Especially the ones who party in itaewon on weekends, smoke cigarettes, are obese, and eat plenty of Mcdonald's. |

| I usually have a lot of respect for the western females who come here. I get the impression that they truly want to do something new. Seems like some of the dudes come here because they're maladroit or sociopaths and they hope the language barrier won't give them away, or they think it's time to find a wife. |

"Typical" Korean men do not date Western women.

OP, are you Korean?
I agree that a 'typical' Korean man would probably not date a foreigner.
Also, Korean men have got a bit of a bad name in the past for how some have treated their wives...so 'Western' women may be a little unwilling to experiment.

I'm a Western female, been here for years. I have dated both Korean and Western. Honestly, the mind games and UNmasculinity of Korean men are a total turn-off. Even K-men with nice bodies etc. are still too shy to get my attention.
Unfortunately, the guys I'm attracted to are ultimately swivel-heads for Korean women.
The only thing you can do is come across a guy who prefers non-Asian women, while you're living here in Korea anyway. These K-gals work some kind of magic on the men. I think it's about female assertiveness. Either it turns you on or it don't.
Or beauty..although I never thought Asians were attractive. This I don't get. |
