I think of all the thousands of young kids, fighting a rich man's war.
Not defending the constitution but just trying to make a buck and pay the bills and along that way -- coopted into a lie and fantastical "war".

Over the last several weeks on this discussion board -- several have replied to me (in all seriousness) "but we are at war". Please explain it to me, in detail and so I can understand why our children die every day? (more today -- just because the press doesn't say anything , doesn't mean it ain't a happening). Why do the poor die, fighting a rich man's war?

Give me all the reasons, lay it out there. Why are our young boys having to eat their subway in Samarra or Sharif and not San Diego or Salem? Tell me why?

If there will be any pressure to exert on Obama from the get go, it will come in the form and cry of "Bring 'em home". The troops and weapons and guns and bombs are not "in war". What place would Jesus bomb?

And not even legally, at that.

The lame Congress has abdicated its responsibility to issue a declaration of war, and instead weasels out with a resolution.

Take them out of Iraq and Korean and send them all to Afghanistan and Waziristan.

Then on the way home from Afghanistan one more stop in Iraq and a brush up with Syria.

Audacious!

You obviously haven't been paying attention to the smart people:

1. Bush is saving your ass whether you like it or not.

2. If our troops come home, you'll be speaking Arabic.

3. Our troops knew damn well what they were signing up for.

I don't see why the corporate goons are being thought of as victims here. Why shouldn't they be treated like any other murderous criminals? Sure, they may have needed the money, but you could say that about most bastard killers and robbers.

Now that Obama's in charge I predict he will make a law forcing us all to wear turbans. The OP is a hippy pinko liberal commie who wears a t-shirt with a picture of Ho Chi Min.

If there will be any pressure to exert on Obama from the get go, it will come in the form and cry of "Bring 'em home". The troops and weapons and guns and bombs are not "in war". What place would Jesus bomb?

Seriously.

How many americans know what's it's like to have your house bombed and your parents killed. How many of us?

And yet that's what happened to, ... how many Iraqi civilian casualties are there now? 100,000 of a population of 22,000,000? That's the equivalent of 1.4 million americans dieing as a percentage of the population. boggles, doesn't it?

Put yourselves in their place for a second and think about it. If you're any kind of normal human being, you'd quickly conclude that the war should not have happened and should not continue.
