A) I have tried to search the forums and get the white page of frustration.

B) These will be my first winter camp class I'll be teaching in Korea.

For my winter camp classes at the girls high school, I was thinking of doing a cooking class to teach them to make some Canadian food (poutine? Razz). I was going to do some lessons on dreams and show them Waking Life.

I want to do more though than just that. What have you done for your winter camps for high school levels?

I agree that MES ENGLISH is a good site for camp activities.

Just be careful you know what they mean by 'camp'. It could be that you have a small group for anywhere from an hour to four hours for a whole week or two. Or it could mean that you're thrown into the rotation with the other academic teachers to teach supplementary lessons, likely only in the morning.

Waking Life??? It's been awhile since that movie put me to sleep but doesn't it have a LOT of advanced vocabulary??? (All aside from it being really long and horrible.)

Yeah, i've been looking for the Winter Immersion Camps...where you play games and activities like in a regular camp back home, only it's all in English. Something like the Concordia Language Villages...i can't find any jobs though. Did hiring end already for those?

We have a 3 week program from 7:30am to 5pm in January. It is not us who will be teaching it but some program from a hogwan in Seoul coming here to live with the students. Cool

I've decided to use my vacation holidays to take every mon-tues off in Jan & some days in Feb to make an extended 6 x 4 day week-ends this winter. They asked me if I wanted to take a whole week off instead & I said no. Having long week-ends & 3 day workweeks at school is FAR better than 5 weeks of 5 days of seat warming

Cool
