I have seen a lot of people on this board write Xmas instead of Christmas. Just wondering what the point is behind it. Seems funny that people don't want to take the extra 2 seconds to write Christ. It is the name of the holiday.

Merry Christmas : )

I personally take all "Christ" out of my Xmas. Santa is the reason for the season!

Merry Xmas!

It seems more like a shorthand thing rather than a non-Christian thing. Hell, it practically shoves the cross right in your face.

Whoops, someone beat me to it. Oh well, this thread could use a bump from an additional post.
