Anyone else waiting a long time to get their visa assurance number. It was always under a week before, but they said I could wait three weeks this time. It's driving me nuts. |

I've been waiting for about 3 weeks as well. It's my first visa so I'm not sure how long it's supposed to take. I'm starting to get a little nervous. I'm trying to find other topics on here to get some info, but am not having much luck with it |

I'd guess your jobs start in early March. Am I correct in thinking this? We are early into the busy phase of visa processing for the spring semester. |

Do you work for immigration? My job doesn't start in March. It starts as soon as I can get there. I was suppose to start 5 days ago. I just don't understand why there is such a delay. It's got me worried. |

Ok I figured it out now. Apparently immigration decided to get tough with my employer, because they made a small error on the application. They delayed my application for three weeks. And I'm still waiting. I guess they meant to punish my employer, but the only one they are really punishing is me. I have bills to pay. I may lose a $1000 over this delay. And I did nothing wrong. But that's immigration, they don't care. |
