Anyone else waiting a long time to get their visa assurance number. It was always under a week before, but they said I could wait three weeks this time. It's driving me nuts.

I've been waiting for about 3 weeks as well. It's my first visa so I'm not sure how long it's supposed to take. I'm starting to get a little nervous. I'm trying to find other topics on here to get some info, but am not having much luck with it Sad

I'd guess your jobs start in early March. Am I correct in thinking this? We are early into the busy phase of visa processing for the spring semester.

Do you work for immigration? My job doesn't start in March. It starts as soon as I can get there. I was suppose to start 5 days ago. I just don't understand why there is such a delay. It's got me worried.

Ok I figured it out now. Apparently immigration decided to get tough with my employer, because they made a small error on the application. They delayed my application for three weeks. And I'm still waiting. I guess they meant to punish my employer, but the only one they are really punishing is me. I have bills to pay. I may lose a $1000 over this delay. And I did nothing wrong. But that's immigration, they don't care.
