With Texas failing to cover, Tech losing to Ole Miss, would anyone be surprised if Florida stomped on Oklahoma. Starting to think these big XII offenses are not all they cracked up to be.

Boo....phukcing....hoo.

They still one. The beat Ohio State, which is not a pushover team. But, yoiu forgot to mention that Missouri won.

The only scandal from the Big 12 is Texas NOT being in the national championship game.

It was hard for Texas to cover the spread. Ohio State's defense was really good this year. For example, in the USC game, the scoreboard made Ohio State's D look worse than it really was, with Rey Maualuga doing his thing and all:

Oops, wrong video. I meant this one:

I like Florida's defense better than Oklahoma's, but I don't think either team will have a hard time putting points on the board. I'm expecting a high-scoring game:

Oklahoma 38
Florida 35

Oh I'm not taking anything away from Texas, I'm just wondering if these results are an indicator of anything for the nat. champ game. I personally think Florida will roll. I'd loved to have seen Florida/USC.

It is a scandal that Texas isn't in the big game but the same could be said for Oklahoma if they didn't make it. Someone had to lose out.

BTW I think Missouri also failed to cover a prettyy large spread.

Nah I watched that USC game and I thought USC could have done more damage..but its a matter of opinion. OSU do have a good D but Texas were supposed to be a juggernaught.

I expect Florida to win going away.

the perception is growing that the Big 12 may have been overhyped this fall. Oregon blows past Oklahoma State in the second half of the Holiday Bowl. Texas Tech cant keep up with Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl. Even Texas pulsating win over Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl fell short of expectations in many peoples minds. The Big 12 needed the Horns to dispose of the Buckeyes much the way USC did way back in September. It didnt happen. If not for the heroics of Colt McCoy and Quan Cosby, three of the Souths ranked teams would have imploded. None played up to the oddsmakers measuring stick

Exactly. The Big 12 isn't as "mighty" as people believed. The High Octane offenses that would obliterate teams from other BCS conferences isn't there.

Is Texas and the Big 12's offense was so potent, then why didn't Texas Tech or Texas score over 40 points?

The OU-UF game is going to be the final say. Right now, I'd put all my money on UF making OU look like a Pop Warner team.

After watching Utah open a can of whoopass on Bama and thump them a lot worse than the final score indicated, I would take them against anybody right now.
