Did your co-teacher give it to you? Maybe she wants you to use it on her. Or him.

Tomorrow they will give you the rest of the Harry Potter costume. They just gave you the wand today so you wouldn't be scared by the whole costume at once.

This is Harry Potter year and all FT's need to dress like him for every class. Didn't your recruiter mention that.

They were called 'love sticks' in the 2 high schools I worked at. I think Orwell would have appreciated that.

One of my coteachers left it in my class. I'm sure she's going to come back for it today, actually, but when I tried to give it to another coteacher to give back to her, she suggested I use it to point at things. Ha!

Yesterday I almost tripped over a metre-long stick the previous teacher had left propped up against the side of the desk.

My teeny tiny 100 year old smiley faced head teacher has a metre long love stick that is split and has blood stains on it. I work at an elementary school. I used it as a pointer some time last year and every time I raised it the students practically wept.

No, more like two thirds of a mop pole - a "pointer".

As it's well known,

Better to be harsh in the beginning.

The ruler is a great tool, mostly used for tapping the desk to get attention.

Don't overuse it though, it will lose it's affect.

And you can't beat students with it, but show them that you are willing XD

One would think that after a while, if you're not beating them with it, it will lose it's power.
