One of my coteachers left it in my class. I'm sure she's going to come back for it today, actually, but when I tried to give it to another coteacher to give back to her, she suggested I use it to point at things. Ha!

My teeny tiny 100 year old smiley faced head teacher has a metre long love stick that is split and has blood stains on it. I work at an elementary school. I used it as a pointer some time last year and every time I raised it the students practically wept.

As it's well known,

Better to be harsh in the beginning.

The ruler is a great tool, mostly used for tapping the desk to get attention.

Don't overuse it though, it will lose it's affect.

And you can't beat students with it, but show them that you are willing XD
