Just a query from someone out in Gyeonggi-do -- how much do public schools actually get to have a native English speaker out here, anyways?

I'm at a decent public school, but since they've been telling me things like they can't afford to get my furniture and stuff, I'm wondering what's going on here. It'd be a good fact to know; I know they GET money but not how much or what the stipulations for it are.

The school most certainly is provided ALL the money for your position: don't accept less. Get the GEPIK liaison on the horn, or try and deal with it yourself, but a lying CT/manager/VP and unmet provisions aren't a good way to start.

I'm not sure Dain Bae is the elementary coordinator anymore, but at least you have some contact information.

I've been here for eight months. I had to move a few times at the beginning because of a robbery -- the school told me they couldn't afford a new apartment so either I had to keep living in the robbed one (which was totally locked when it was robbed) or find my own place to stay.

I tried to get my furniture in January and again in February and they told me they couldn't afford it. There's been a few other money issues, too.

I'm at a public school which is why this all seems weird. We get paid on time, but everything ELSE seems to be up in the air.
