| I would have demanded my ticket be refunded. The guy sounds ripe for sectioning. |

Why would Iran fire missiles at Scandanavia?
And what threat does Iran pose to Poland? |
Perhaps a visual aid might clear things up. |
That still doesn't explain what motive Iran would have to shoot missiles into Europe. Why would they do that? |

Are you serious?
What motive did Hitler have for invading the Sudetenland?
What motive did Genghis Khan have for marching into Northern China?
What motive did Richard the Lionheart have for marching to the Holy Land?
What motive did the United States have in sending troops to the Phillipines?
What motive did Stalin have for invading Finland?

Its called a deterrent. Thats what militaries do. They keep the peace by preventing attacks. Its a much better plan than deterrent via pre-emptive strike. |

You're entirely too accommodating of RJjr; even if he could grasp the obvious, he'd find a reason to reject it.

You missed the point, as usual. Had an American pianist done the same in Warsaw, I'm sure you'd be the first to cry foul. It was inappropriate to the setting, destroying the artistic ambience, and just plain rude and tactless. If he was hankering to let off some steam, he could have held a press conference after the performance. I love Chopin and most Poles (read Michener's account of their travails; they also sent a brave contingent to Iraq and those I've met in Chicago and Milwaukee are so down-to-earth), but if I'd been in attendance I would have been one of those who walked out. Shameful stuff but then Leftists aren't usually known for having much class. |

No, I'd never be that childish nor insecure for that matter. |

Berating your paying audience because they share the same nationality as the gov't that held up your piano at customs or that is putting missiles in your country IS being childish or insecure.
At a certain point you set politics aside and call a spoiled child a spoiled child. |

Two things are obvious:
- America's economic problems are too enormous at this point to finance defense projects to protect Europe against hypothetical threats. If the Europeans are as scared as you are, they need to finance their own shield with their own money. America is broke. Our government doesn't need to look for more ways to borrow and spend.
- Our high dollar, high tech Air Force was outperformed by 19 assclowns in 4 unarmed jumbo jets on 9/11. It's not like we've gone from being unable to protect the Pentagon to suddenly being able to handle broader objectives like protecting Poland, all while struggling in Afghanistan and Iraq. |

Deterrent for American missiles in Turkey? It was only Castro who wanted a nuclear war. Happily the Soviets had a little more than a Banana Republic to defend. |

No, and don't expect me to say I have. I'm not the one that pretends to have read things I haven't. |

Confrontational ignorance. Nice combination.
You attempt to forge and then wield a rhetorical question has utterly failed here, RJjr. |
