I had an E-2 for a number of years.
I'm currently on a D4-4 studying Korean fulltime.
I'm thinking about ditching my last week of classes in order to do a two week camp instead. Will I have to take a trip over to japan? |

Are you sure you want to do that? The tax rate on a C-4 is between 21%-26% (that's the 90day visa that lumps camp teachers in with entertainers and professionals visiting Korea on business) |

Yes to Japan. You need all of the same bs as with an E2 it's just a shorter stay. As for the tax rate, the camp I worked didn't charge me any tax when I was on a C4. Something to ask the camp about. A C4 is good for 90 days but the embassy will only grant the amount of time the camp runs, with a little elbow room. My camp was thirty days so they gave me 45. |
