Does anyone know about the Korean deportation process? I was thinking... If I could get deported for a petty crime or something, could I get a free flight home?

I had a Canadian friend who was teaching illegally and he had to stay locked up at immigration till he could get the funds together to get home. He was even married to a Korean and spend about 10 days there (I don't exactly rememer). He said some other folks had been there quite some time.
I think you will get free room and board though if that helps your finances out. But just how to get in trouble outside of illegal teaching and drugs I don't know. I've seen people do a lot of stupid stuff. Good luck.

Curious if that was back during the 97 crack down. New a bunch of people deported back then, both married and not. Fun times!

Yep. He had semi-celebrity status back then as he was one aloud back into the country.

You should try to start a new TV show:
American Deportee

You all sit in jail together performing various acts until you get enough votes to pay for a ticket home.

(EDIT): If you get no respoce from the US, try the Yaoi network in Japan.

I don't know about Korea, but when I got deported from the UK last year for a VISA issue, I had to pay for my flight. Luckily the company (Zoom air) went bankrupt before charging me.
You get (in the UK, at least) free room and board at an immigration center.

How about going to your embassy and saying everything was stolen. You have no money. etc...etc... I think they'll "lend" you money to get home.

If you are deported, you get a first class ticket anywhere you want. You even get to keep the flyer miles.

Just walk into any police box and let them know you are a sex offender, and they will fly you first class anywhere.

Serously dude, you should try it. You will not regret it.

How loud does one have to be to become a semi-celebrity?
