The first two weeks of grades 4 and 5 were great. Kids came in everyday for 4 hours. About 18 kids per class. Was able to implement the curriculum I designed.

The third week of 6 graders is okay, but they come in when they feel like it. Today, this is the second to the last day, eight new students decided to show up. I had a curriculum planned for this class, but I have been unable to implement it, so I just create and improvise as I go along.

The co-teacher is only making 15,000 won per-day. I feel sorry for her. Me? Nothing, but I dont care anyway.

How is it going with your summer camp?

Drastically reduced numbers of students gave me a chance to do some one-on-one coaching. A few of those struggled during the semester are happier with the pace. Smarter ones are progressing at leaps and bounds. Hopefully they can help with the instructions next semester.

Our school decided to cram the first 4 summer camps into 2 day camp periods. They came for the whole day, but there was no chance for review. We just blitzed from one thing to the next. Now we have a week off to prepare for a more realistic summer schedule, mon-thu.
