I have a subscription to the Korean Herald. There was an article today about how young people can't get jobs.
They are now flocking to Asia in order to teach English--just like I told you people.
The article isn't written by a Korean. It's an AP story.
One woman called Asia the new land of opportunity.
I almost cried Glenn Beck style.
I don't have the link. But you can find the story on page 3 or 4 of the newspaper.
We are in for a long haul. |

No, this one is longer and features a woman from West Virginia.
It's in the Herald. |

So Americans are now considered the "Mexicans" of Asia?
Hey- if there's an opportunity, why not take it! |

Here's one about an American, European and even a Korean who sought work in China.
| Quote: |
When the best job Mikala Reasbeck could find after college in Boston was counting pills part-time in a drugstore for $7 an hour, she took the drastic step of jumping on a plane to Beijing in February to look for work.
Konstantin Schamber, a 27-year-old German, passed up possible jobs at home to become business manager for a Beijing law firm, where he is the only foreign employee.
"I believe China is the same place as the United States used to be in the 1930s that attracts a lot of people who'd like to have either money or career opportunities," Schamber said. |

| sqrlnutz123~ Very interesting article and it beckons a very complex question- why are people still bickering over peanuts in Korea when they could have a possibly better opportunity in China? |

The guy's not too bright if he equates Depression Era America with great opportunities. |

Okay enough Beatles. I agree with asmith fully; I am one of those college grads. After a year of looking for a job in the US and working at a bar in the meantime, I chose to hop on a plane to Asia. I repeat, I spent a FULL year after college with a good resume and professional attire/attitude with no results. It is bad.
Also, the US in the 1930s at least had free soup. |
