I am interested in applying to a job with KnK International Homeschool in Bundang. The posting says all listed documents must be submitted in order to be considered for the position. I am in the process of acquiring these documents for my visa application, but is it really necessary to submit them all just for my job application?

Documents required:
* Sealed transcripts (photocopies are fine for initial application), but Immigration Law REQUIRES SEALED TRANSCRIPTS for the Visa application!
* Copy of university diploma, notarized by Korean consulate (or original) again, a scan/copy is fine for the initial application
* Copy of inside passport page with date of birth and nationality shown
* Copy of teacher certification (optional, but HIGHLY recommended)
* Applicant�s medical check
* A criminal record check certificate - must have internationally recognized notarization (APOSTILLE).

I have not had an interview, I have not been hired. KnK is requesting this for my initial application ... saying I won't even be considered for a teaching position until I provide them with all listed documents.

You have all you need to know. They are making ridiculous demands just for the privilege of allowing you to speak to them. It's not likely to get any better. File this application in the circular file and carry on. Good luck with your employment search.

You should have a COPY* of your degree notorized and apostilled along with the CBC. Scan these into your computer and keep them in a file handy to attach to an email. If you're a recent college grad, you should be able to copy an unofficial transcript from your school's website. Paste it to a word doc and put that in your documents file too to attach. Order 4 or 5 SEALED transcripts for immigration and to keep in your personal records (future use). Scan the front page of your passport to attach too. Ditto the medical form, etc.

These are what they want so they know you're a serious candidate. Besides saving these on your computer, print yourself hard copies to keep for future reference.

When you are offered a contract and you're satisfied that's the job you want, you'll have to send the complete package to them along with the signed contract. They will take these to Immigration in Korea to have a visa issuance number approved for you. Then you go to your Korean consulate for the visa.

* A copy is very important. DO NOT send your original degree. The purpose of the apostille makes it as good as your original.
