Coming full circle now, can't your Korean friends put the word out and scare up at least a couple of blind dates for you? Do you have Korean family here? Maybe they can set you up.

Hard to believe that as a Kyopo with Korean friends you need to ask people on a predominantly foreign board how to meet Korean men!

If you're in your 30s, I highly doubt that you're going to find Mr. Right at a club, especially at a club in Kang Nam.

Have you considered Internet dating sites? Might be a possibility.

Thanks everyone for all your feedback!

Bottom line is...where does a good gal like me meet another good guy? I can't meet them at church, clubs, or at work, where do I meet them? My life style does not allow me to meet Korean people....and certainly not Korean men!

Yeah, I heard about the night club scene...that one night stands are very popular! I'm open to other suggestions if anyone has any! Wink

Your lifestyle and life is Korea based, no? Males should be all around. Try Koreancupid or those dating in Korea websites.

well, if you're not looking to getting groped and/or having some one-night stand, i have no idea why you're asking what CLUB to go to. everybody knows the only reason any of us go to clubs is to hook up in the end. in all honesty, you should find some other route like:

church
group interest club (hiking, book reading, other sports, etc)
dating websites
friends of friends
walking up to random people at the market, street, store

whatever.

I recommend you get a hobby or interest. Otherwise, to potential suitors, you sound like a girl who doesn't want to work and just wants to get married. Some ahjusshis might be down with that, but the kind of guys you would like to be with long term are not into these kind of girls with no personality and will use you for sex (unless you're really rich).

Clubs, bars and meeting randoms on the internet are for hooking up. Honestly, I never went there to find a ms. right... only ms right NOW.

You sound pretty naive about this. Have you had more than 2 boyfriends outside of college? If you want to find a long term partner first get a life beyond your work or yenta friends who are all chasing the latest kangnam chaebol stud.

For some reason, I've noticed that this idea of clubs as an orgie of one-night stands is especially popular among more conservative Koreans and those who are stuck in long-term relationships. hmm..

I'm sure my Korean friends know where to go but I wanted to do some of my own research. We are a group of single women who's not looking to hook up after the club scene so is it wrong to assume there are guys out there like us? or are they all the same???

I used to interact with Korean adults, and here's how Koreans find mates, as told by every male student except for two:

"I was lonely, so I asked my friend to set me up on a meeting with his girlfriends' friends. We went to a coffee shop / movie and had a good meeting."

Essentially, for most of the adult population here, it's not like my favorite male student, who saw his wife standing in front of the university library and he knew then and there that his fate was sealed. It's a negotiation involving family history, collegiate associations, and financial standing. Often, parents get involved.

so there aren't any clubs where you can casually date and get non-dirtbags to approach you. Here, clubs are for affairs. You can go to any of them and hope Prince Charming is also there, but it is a long shot.

I'm a Korean American (gyopo) who's never dated a Korean guy and my friends are Korean nationals who are looking to meet some nice men! They speak English well so we're open to meeting.....just wanted to meet some quality men and not for one night stand either.

Hahaha this is laughable, you're looking for a boyfriend at the club, but not a one night stand? That's like going to McDonalds looking for lobster

daisy, if you think that you're going to go to a club whether it be korean men or foreign men and find some mr. right, you got another thing coming.

actually, i can't even believe this whole post. it's just so ridiculous to me.

It's sad to see how negative some of you can be. Just because my life experiences, whether the lack of dating or knowing more about this area, aren't like yours, you guys are quick to make judgements. What happened to being more open minded and being helpful rather than to hate! Have you ever heard of the saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all?" Should have learned this in grade school! Don't hate because I'm exclusively looking for Korean guys! At the same time, I will keep your warnings in mind (that Mr. Right doesn't exist and that men only want sex) while I'm out there! Thanks everyone!!!

No one's hating on white girls looking for Korean guys, that's like hating on Royals fans.
