For those of you who reside in Bucheon city or who frequent there, a new Mexican eatery popped up near line-1, Songnae station. It's been there for about a month now I think and I have gotten to know the owner quite well. He's a young guy and can speak English.

Places like these never last too long and I don't want see this place shut down due to lack of business. The food is great and the service is superb. You can sit in and enjoy a Negra Modelo/Corona/Magarita/Sol with your fajita or take your food to go. I'm just trying to help him out by posting this. Thanks for the read.

Info:

Taco Ria
Tel: 032)326-1616

-North side (exit #2 I think...the side where Lotteria is on).
-Get out and keep to your right
-Keep walking until you get to the crosswalk
-Cross over and walk towards the big Toona building (just look up...the building sells clothes just like Migliore or Doota)
-While facing Toona, walk towards your left along the sidewalk there
-You will pass a newly renovated corner shop that sells sunglasses, contact lenses and such
-Just walk up a few stores and you should see the green and red diner on your right
-Altogether, it's about a 7 minute walk from the station

Menu
Taco (Beef/Chicken)..............4,000/4,500
Burrito (Beef/Chicken)...........5,000/5,500
Quesadilla (Beef/Chicken)......5,000/5,500
Fajita (Beef/Chicken).............6,000/6,500
Nachos.................................3,500

Booze 5k a piece

Portions are generous and there is a promotion every week (2 + 1 for booze, free lemonade, combo menus, etc).

hey dude,

thanks for the post! I just got back from taco ria and i gotta say it was pretty awesome. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. Really reasonably priced too.

up till now I always got my taco fix in hongdae and itaewon. All the places i've tried have been pretty sub par. expensive and stingy, and not all that delicious either.

all you Bucheon peoples. Support this place. I hope it is here for a long time.

oh yeah.

the place is located on the same side of the street as the entrance to Toona. No more than say 50 meters from the entrance. If you pass the Meritz building you've gone too far. Enjoy. Thanks.

General rule about restaurants in Korea. If the food is international and
the quality is excellent, it usually disappears quickly.

This is true for places outside of Seoul. Sad, but true.

I went there today at 11:25 am and it was closed. The sign inside said it's open 11-11, not specifying any closing days.

Very disappointing.

*Post modded for accuracy

Closed Sundays. For the rest of the week, better to head there around noon. Most of the restaurants in the area don't start serving food until 11:30 or so. He's a young guy starting out his first business and the business is still in its stage of infancy. As for today, I rang him up and apparently, his sister got really sick and needed surgery so he had to take her to the hospital and therefore, could not get the shop until noon.

Regardless, the food is good, service is good, and the food is reasonably priced. The interior decor/music is welcoming and reflective of the type of food being served. I've met a lot of satisfied expats who frequent there. If you do decide to give him another chance, the next time you go there for an early lunch, feel free to give the number a call to see if he's there. He's the only one who runs the place and speaks English. His sister might answer during the evenings but she can speak English also. They'll gladly answer any your questions.

Oops. Owner just notified me that he will now open 7-days a week. Regardless, if you've come a long way, feel free to call to make sure he's open for business.

Thanks again for reading.
