Help Please!

There should be an obvious answer, but I'm confused.

While getting World Nomads travel insurance, it asks for my "country of residence"

I'm a 1st year teacher in korea, but from the USA.

For travel insurance purposes, what do I state that my country of Residence is?

Since the coverage includes emergency evacuation, and with my job in Korea I have national health insurance, it seems like I'd want to put Korea, right?

Yeah, but do you have insurance in Korea? If your contract is up, no, you don't. And I think the temporary residence is less than six months or something. I'm pretty sure it's qualified somewhere on the website.

But again, whatever works for you. If you're in the middle of your contract and will want to be sent back to Korea because you have insurance here, do it. I don't have insurance in the U.S. either.

Basically, and this is in all seriousness, if I'm hurt to the point of needing a medical evac. back to America, I expect to be dying and hope to make it home to see family before I'm dead. Morbid thought, but I really would have no health care in the U.S. anyway.

Why don't you guys just talk to Nomads? I did and the guy told me the pros and cons of everything which is why I chose/and choose the U.S. even though I live in Korea (finishing second year).

i faced this issue a while back before starting my year trip... I went with no insurance... hope I survive intact. knock on wood.
