Is there any on-line Website service which is offered for a reasonable fee?

I have come across an outfit in Seoul called Internet Brothers,
but it seems like they're going to be expensive.

one of the most important thing in hosting business is experience.
They are online since 1999 . That is a long time. Good support

I don't understand why you want a Korean server. The internet is location neutral.

You should get your web servers as 'close' to the audience as possible.
the number of routers data has to cross between your site visitors and your web hosting server it should be minimized.

As a web master It becomes much easier for you to manage your site too. I was going to some ESL related websites and I noticed that they are using their services like this one eslbabble.com

I am webmaster for a Korean company. I use an American hosting
company. 100% guaranteed up time. 24-hr English language support.
100% English language instructions.

Ping from Korea to USA is always below 100ms. So there is no
issue about "closeness".

Like I said, location neutral.

A lot depends on the type of website. A video streaming service would benefit from being closer to the source.

A very simple website, with a few images etc. won't benefit much (fractions of a second). There are a lot of different ways to optimize your website's speed, having your site closer to source isn't usually that effective.

You could also think about hosting some of your files on cheap Korean servers.

I use Mireene for all of my sites. Their shared hosting package is awesome, and great unless you have very high traffic. The basic package is something like 1Gb storage, 1Gb daily bandwidth. It costs w22,000 per YEAR!

I run AFEK from one account, and my blog from another. The only time I had a problem was when I posted a GN'R review last week and it got linked all over the world. I had thousands of hits and it sucked up my bandwidth, but I had 3 bandwidth reset tokens to use. One of them cleared my daily bandwidth instantly and it was back to business as usual.

22,000 per year. Nothing comes close, and you can upgrade (double your bandwidth for 2,000 per month, etc.

Now... it sucks for email (1 address I think), but you can have GMail host that for you and get 50 email address @yourdomain for free. Awesome value for money!

I should add... the site is all in Korean, but you can sign up with your foreigner ID number, and you can pay by bank transfer.

I have tried many hosting companies in Korea .
Just call them and ask them if they will allow a simple "Cron Job"
They say NO! you need a dedicated server for this Rolling Eyes

As your website grows you find out you can't go on.

Internet brothers is the only company I know that gives English control panel like many US companies.

LOOK here

http://www.internetbrothers.co.kr/webpromotion/english/hosting-control-panel-korea.html

Billing management, Help Desk all in English.
They are using the same level of ticket system as SKYPE does.
That means they have invested on this.

I've gone through a lot of hosts.

Right now, I use Rackspace Cloud, Amazon AWS, Fluid Hosting and Site5 for my English sites.

If you're going to be hosting a site targeted at Koreans, you should have it hosted in Korea. If you're going to have a site targeted towards Americans, host it in America.

I've been through a lot of hosts in Korea (Gabia, Whois, Smileserve and iHeart) and if you're on a budget, I would recommend Smileserve's CoreHost product.

http://www.1000dedi.net/docs/renew/core_host/core_host01_01.htm

An important note is, you will have to know how to manage your server on your own (it's not really that difficult but takes a bit of time to learn). Plans start at 15,000 won per month. You don't have to worry about PHP memory limits or issues you get at other hosting plans at that price level. It's like having a dedicated server from the standpoint of being able to configure everything to your needs. On the downside, it is almost completely unmanaged (you will have to know what you're doing or be willing to learn).

If you have a bit more money to spend, I have a dedicated server with iHeart and haven't had any complaints thus far.

Are you affiliated with them by any chance?

I actually checked you guys out (via posting at webhostingtalk.com) but ultimately passed due to pricing and your web site design. I know hosting service quality is more important than how your site looks but I will say, a redesign wouldn't hurt. Not trying to flame or anything... just trying to offer feedback.

I agree with you about the design.

I know this company for a long time , I have a number of sites hosted by them.

I agree with you I think they need to care a little more about the design .
Because people just see a website design and unless they use a service they do not know

I have a few sites hosted by them right now and very satisfied.

I think you understood what I mean.

The host you mentioned does not have English control panel for shared hosting and I am sure most people need that.

One other thing on a shared hosting in Korea still a lot of companies use EUC Kr for database . Recently some give you an option but again for a shared hosting you need to have a standard control panel just in case one day you grow and want to move it to some where else.

That is another reason I recommend Internet brothers.
I want to help them with their business they have been supporting me a lot over the years.
