I will be coming to Busan mid-February to teach. I am trying to get to Qingdao at the end of Feb to meet up with a friend who is sailing around the world and is stopping off in Qingdao. Could anybody give me a bit of advice on my quickest, cheapest and easiest way to get there. Would I be best to get a ferry from Seoul/Incheon? Fly from Busan directly/ indirectly. Flights directly there seem a bit expensive c.�400. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

I did the ferry from Incheon to Dalian and it was great but it was an overnight journey. If you need speed, get an air ticket.

It might be cheaper to take a bus or train up to Seoul. When I flew to Qingdao last summer that was the cheaper option.

i took a ferry from incheon to qingdao a few years ago- it was a great experience. we didn't go the lowest class though cause sleeping on a floor closely surrounded by strangers wasn't appealing.

a train to seoul and then ferry from incheon may be the cheapest. i don't remember how much the ferry was but it wasn't expensive. it is a longish ride though- we left in the afternoon and got there late the next morning, i believe.
