I have a confession to make. Until today, I did not know how to tie a tie. Whenever a momentous occasion arose that required wearing a tie, I always relied on asking a friend to tie a tie for me... until today. Yes, I know, I know. It is pathetic.

At any rate, I was about to go to a job interview for an additional part-time job to supplement my income when I suddenly decided that I wanted to make an extra good first impression. Then, I realized that none of my friends were around. So, I googled "how to tie a tie" and arrived at the following link below.

Now, I know that I cannot possibly be the only adult on this forum that has only now learned how to tie a tie. And perhaps, there are some people on this forum who still do not know how to tie a tie. Well, in these times of uncertainty, sometimes a strong resume is not enough. Being dressed smartly with a tie could be the deciding factor.

Yeah I'm the same. In fact I'm even worse I'm 28 years old and have never own nor worn a suit (unless you count the time I was 7 and a page boy and that was hired).

I have just never needed one. Worked for an environmental consultancy firm with plenty of field work, worked for government agencies where I would have to visit farms, park rangers also don't really need suits either.

I really didn't either until this year when I started to go for interviews. I used this guy's videos, and now I can tie well.

youtube how to tie a tie. ehow works too. the video with the short guy with glasses looking in the mirror worked the best for me. learn a man's tie- full windsor.

I had to look it up again. Hahaha. I guess that I was suffering from temporary tie tying amnesia.

I worked in Corporate America, so I have had to wear a tie more than I would have liked to. Every man should know how to tie a tie, even if you don't wear one daily, or hardly at all. I prefer the Full Windsor knot, though it depends on the type of collar you're wearing. I taught myself on the internet. You can basically teach yourself anything these days on the internet.

I used to have a book with 500 different ways to tie a tie. It was a pretty useless book.
