Hey guys.

I'm leaving for Canada on Monday. I have a phone where I get a monthly bill.

I have a couple of questions.

I need to use my phone until Monday morning. I went to a SK shop, and the guy told me it isn't possible to cancel my phone today, for deactivation on Tuesday.

Can I cancel my phone at the airport?

Or could I leave the phone for the new teacher? I worry because it's in my name, and if he doesn't pay the bill, I might be screwed.

Any advice would be greatly appreiated.

It would probably be best if you leave it for the next teacher. Having an operating phone when you first move in is a big deal. Just show some character and don't leave a bunch of long distance calls on the next bill.

Nahh I would never do that to someone. I'm pretty big on karma. My concern though is that he won't pay the bill and I might get screwed if I come back in the future.

What do you use the landline for anyway? I thought those were getting weeded out due to online calling. Chances are the person won't use it, so I would try to get it canceled, pay up on your bill and be done. Just give them an advance and say "This is what I will probably owe."

If you have to leave, you have to leave. The phone companies need to learn to work with that.

Ah... I should have mentioned. It's a handy-porn, not a land line.
