Thanks to everyone for all the information in the previous post on Gwangju City. It looks like this will be a go after all. I'm a real fan of the beach (I live on one now) and warm weather, which is why I was so hyped about Busan. But I guess I'll just have to learn to deal with the cold and the snow ...
That said, important question: Does anyone know if there is a competent luthier / instrument repair person in Gwangju? I have an expensive guitar that needs a touch of work but, as it's about to make a long trip, I might wait to get it done there.
Also, to Loza - Thanks for your sage advice, particularly regarding housing. I'd like to ask you a couple of questions, but can't PM you, as I'm a newbie. Are you on the Gwangju FB page? (I tried sifting through, but there's over 500 members). Or maybe you could PM me.
Thanks again, everyone. |

There's an instrument floor in gumho world, which is a big department market opposite gwangju express bus terminal. |

There are a bunch of music shops around Art Street in downtown. You could definitely find an experienced person at any of those shops to help you out. |

Yeah that's true, try Art Street, especially if it's a high end instrument. |
