I need to go to Itaewon later. I was down to one slice of whole grain bread.
I toasted it up with some cheese, fried 2 eggs in some extra virgin olive oil, and spooned some salsa over them, having an open-faced sandwich. |

I had a pan fried bratwurst with fried onions, mushrooms, cheese and mustard on wheat bread. I think I'll have cereal for lunch. |

But the real reason I'm replying is just to say that when you cook with extra virgin olive oil, any nutritional value you were hoping to retain, will evaporate. Phenols will change form and actually become more harmful.

A Word About Heating
Different manufacturers list different smoke points for their olive oils, and some manufacturers list a temperature very close to smoke point as their maximum limit for safe heating of the oil. When these temperatures might be correct for avoiding large amounts of some harmful substances that can be created through heating of the oil, they are not correct limits for preserving the unique nutrients (especially polyphenols) found in high-quality, extra virgin olive oil. Oxidation of nourishing substances found in extra virgin olive oil, as well as acrylamide formation, can occur at cooking temperatures very closer to the 300F range. For these reasons, we recommend a much stricter heating standard involving very little or no heating when enjoying this delightful oil. |

I'm just saying this because Extra virgin oil is very expensive. Sounds like a delicious breakie anyway. |

MASSIVE bowl of Homeplus Breakfast Boulders/Corn Flakes, a cup of tea and one of those little yoghurt drinks. And shortly I'll be having a glass of Tropicana.

That's more like it (except for the pasta). You are better off eating nothing, than cereal or a donut or toast. |

I know, but I was out of Pam and hate using butter. Thanks! I was a health writer before I came here (amongst other editorial things), and prefer the taste of olive oil to most others. |
