Just received word from the recruiter that we've been accepted and the NOA is enroute.
Can someone please let me know what the process once we have the contract & NOA in hand? How long does the process of receiving the actual visa take?
Trying to figure out timing for notifying my employer about my upcoming departure.
Thanks! |

| The visa process in the UK is supposed to take about 5 working days - minus time in transit through the post. I'm not sure if it's the same in other countries though. |

same for Toronto
UP TO 5 working days, meaning it could also be less than 5 days. |

I drove to the Consulate after receiving my NOA. Three days later I received my passport back with an E-2 Visa.
Really simple. Congratulations on your new job, do you know where your placement is? Will you be attending training in Seoul before you begin? |

Thanks Donkey Beer!
Would you suggest driving to the consulate and dropping it off? Or just mailing the documents in?
To answer your questions, I've been confirmed for Seoul. I believe the orientation will be in Seoul on or around Aug 17 - if the information I've read is to be believed. |

It really depends on how soon you need it. I don't like having my passport in the mail and the consulate was only an hour away, so I drove.
I thought only SMOE had placements in Seoul. I think you'll just have an orientation in Seoul before being relocated to another part of the country, any idea where?
Good luck at your new workplace! |
