took 1 mg ativan about an hour prior to taking the test (thought there was to be a huge speech in front of hundreds of people)

wondering if this is (a)something they check for and (b) if this was too much/too soon before taking the health/drug test?

Why did you think there was going to be a huge speech in front of hundreds of people for a drug test?

Yeah, sounds like you're screwed. Good luck, though who knows what may happen.

For future reference, even if it is a few hundred people, all you do is go "Hi, I'm XX from (country), let's have a good year! Fighting!" and that's it. Do you really need a benzodiazepine for that?

Also, don't take any drugs in Korea unless they're prescribed, and even at that, try and tough it out without them.

As suggested above, your "huge speech" would have amounted to a few words that no one paid much attention to anyway. Korea is not soft on anxiety pills. Good luck.

Well then you're in better shape than most, but again, Korea isn't soft on anti-anxiety pills. Your chances are 50-50 I'd say. Let us know what happens.

Well, it depends whether the test for drugs is a standard '5-panel' or whether it is more than that.

If it is the standard '5-panel' which looks for:
Cannabinoids (marijuana, THC)
Cocaine (cocaine, crack)
Amphetamines (amphetamines, dextroamphetamine, methamphetamine)
Opiates (heroin, codeine, morphine)
Phencyclidine (PCP)
Then you would be fine (as far as I know).

If not, you may come up with a positive but in all likelyhood you would need to test again in a few days in which case you would be clear.

At my school everyone testing during the same few days. However one person failed a test. I heard it was the drug one. They asked her to take it again this week. No big dramas (yet).
