Gwangmyeong is a nice city. Do you have any specific questions? What part of the city are you considering? |

Good place, and you are basically right next door to Seoul. Litterally, you will not find a city closer to Seoul than Gwangmyeong. I lived there for a year and thought it was great. The foreign community tends to reside near Cheolsan because that's where a lot of hogwons are located. Overall, great place to live. |

Gwangmyeong schools will be governed by SMOE soon, so I've heard.
I personally find Gwangmyeong a bit dull and run down, at least it is around the subway station and nearby Dongs. It gets worse as you go towards Cheonwang, but a little better towards Cholsan.
Gwangmyeong is pretty big though, so there could be nicer areas I've never seen. |

I would basically consider it to Seoul. It's only like 10,000 in a cab to Hongdae. |

Has anyone who responded that they live here heard of the English Village there? From what I've heard of the EV's they are usually in a more rual area, so I'm wondering if this one is different than the other ones (i.e. not so much like a whole different world/Disneyworld). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! |
