The Asia list was topped by the four Japanese cities followed by Seoul, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Beijing and Busan in South Korea.

Oh right I guess I read it wrong- still you can get a nice hotel for 30,000 won in most any city here on the other hand I had to pay 20 Euro - like 40 dollars for an 18 man room in Germany and had to pay like 70 for a beat up motel room in Versailles France when I ewnt to see the Sun King's palace even Jeju a tourist trap offers cheap min bak places for like 30-40 dollars a night - I guess they are talking about cheese which in Korea goes for the same rate as gold.

lol where are you finding these nice hotels for 30,000? I've never seen anything that low before. I've seen like 45 or 50ish....but 30 seems hella cheap to me.

Let's not confuse love motels with hotels. Do cheap hotels exist in Korea? Never stayed in one.

These rankings are based on how much you spend to have a Western lifestyle, so they're a bit skewed.
