Invited to a Korean's house tomorrow for dinner. There will be Chinese people there, so I'm assuming this has something to do with celebrating the Chinese New Year.
Do I bring something? |

Fruit would not be out of place.

Yes, take something, stop by the corner store and pick up some juice or something. |

Yes. It's the same as when I was back home, unless it was a very good friend and we visited each other often. Rule of thumb: if the person can go into your fridge without asking and vice versa, you don't need to bring presents for each other. |

Box of juice, fruit, other food...all good options.
Bringing nothing would be odd and a bit rude. |

In the USA, we bring bottles of good quality Italian wine and capelloi appetizers..In Korea, they bring bottles cheap liqour and a "fancy ( but bad tasting) cake" from The Corner Bakery Shop.
You know what Iam talking about?
Something is just wrong with this picture. |

You bring a retired Italian footballer to eat when you visit someone? Plus he is only an appetizer? What's the main course? You Americans are weird. |

A bit too late to chime in here, but if Chinese are involved, offering pears can be bad luck, since the Chinese character for 'pear' has a homophone for an inauspicious word.
Hope you didn't give pears ... |

Bring cookies, fruits, or it depends on the person. Wine?
