what's the worst you've ever felt in your life? i'm 28, and i'd have to say that breaking up with someone you were in love with seems to be consistently the most difficult thing.

the whole experience just drags on and on.

Having to put my pet rat down at home because the vet was closed for the evening (a mere few hours after taking him to the vet for more meds, and having begged them for some sort of inhalant to put him down gently if he took a turn for the worse after hours [they refused, as they don't do that in Korea]).

I sobbed for hours.

My dad died, a friend of his tried to steal a land development project of my dad's meant for me, and I lost the only person approximating a good friend in Korea (he moved back home and we had an argument at the end).

2008. That was the worst summer/fall season ever for me. I finally understand murderous rage and what motivates someone to put a fist through a wall. It was a learning experience. Otherwise it was hell.

Yup. It affects you for the rest of your life.
Relationship break ups are awful too.

The best way of forgetting a girl is finding a new one. Anyone will do for the simple purpose of mood elevation.

The most depressed I've ever been. I stared at the walls for hours and hours. I really wanted to kill myself but I couldn't bother getting out of bed.

i disagree. if you were in love with someone, and after that breakup, you are with another girl. it's not the same. the comfortability isn't there. the inside jokes, the intimacy....

i think having a rebound is the worse way to go about dealing with a breakup to be honest. the only positive to a breakup is being able to look back and realize the mistakes you made, etc.

it's like if you're a boxer and you lose a fight, you have months to watch the old tape and review what you did wrong, but if you lose a fight and then fight the next day, you'll be making the same mistake.

I think the 2 month period where I quit a job, moved to the States, broke up with a girl of two years, and faced unemployment for half a year was probably a pretty major dip in my happy-o-meter. When it rains, it pours.

I've had a lot of low points, but I think the lowest was the summer before my senior year of high school, when one of my friends died in a freak accident. He was only 17 and had such a bright future ahead of him. RIP Liam.

Other low points include getting dumped, losing a job, and having to move back in with my parents (not all at the same time).

I'm sorry you had to go through all that at the same time. I don't think things could get much worse than what happened to you. Sad

losing a younger brother this last summer in a car accident. Getting that international phone call was the worst moment of my life so far. I wanted to puke and scream and cry.

The aftermath has pretty well decimated my family, it's the most horrible thing I've gone through and took me to a new low the last few months. I am coming out the other end though, slowly but surely. But man, the death of a sibling is the last thing I'd wish on my worst enemy.
