Again, I see no outrage for any of the jobs topping the 'most dangerous' lists. |

You're right! Voluntary parties all around! No place for social biological or psychological factors in describing behavior! Just use the earliest, basest, most simplistic formula devised in the field, and deduct ad infinitum from there! |

Indeed. I suppose all those firefighters, were firefighting to be outlawed, would still be out there jumping into burning buildings just like the delivery drivers here, no matter if their employers have a guarantee on delivery time or not, still manage to drive obscenely recklessly. |

| I'd be curious to compare traffic accidents per hours driven of delivery people vs. average riders. |

As a former pizza delivery driver back home I have to say that
A)Delivery driver's will drive aggressively and be pressured to make fast deliveries no matter what. It's part of the rush of the job. When its slammed and you've got a 5-banger delivery run, even if you don't have a deadline you still drive aggressively because you want people to get hot food. Things have to run smooth. You can't have food sitting at the store and getting cold.
B)That accidents are bound to happen.
C)That for hours driven, it is my belief (no proof, so don't take me at my word) that delivery drivers have lower rates of accidents. We learn the roads and their quirks, the tendencies certain roads have in regards to traffic and so on.
The only ways not to get pizza people to not be driving aggressively, and these aren't full-proof, is to get them A)Cruising with a friend/S.O. B)Smoking (most pizza drivers back home drive stoned all the live long day) C) Live sporting event ont he radio where the driver wants to listen D) Be a customer that the driver doesn't like so instead they'll stop at Speedway and get a Taquito and a cruiser cup of Dr. Pepper and chat up the guy behind the counter. E)Eliminate Tipping for Delivery
One more thing- All the years in the biz have convinced me that people are utterly irrational when it comes to food. Very, very few people are patient and understanding. Usually those that are tend to be habitual, good-natured drunks. |

One day I happened to witness the un-thinkable...
Actually it's a very common occurence.
two delivery scooters collided at the intersection, neither one was delivering pizza, but Korean food, both were in the wrong flying through the intersection without looking. It happened to be an uncontrolled intersection, so there were no lights.
There's no shortage of whackos on scooters in Korea, whatever they may be hauling.
I've also been almost run down as I was crossing the street. He screamed through the crowd of startled pedestrians as they were crossing at a pedestrian cross-walk. He just about took out me and 3 or 4 other people missing us all by a few inches.
Ever see the guys with the ta-bang girls whipping around through the traffic?
I doubt that the Dominoes drivers are any more aggressive than the rest.
I wouldn't be surprised if Dominoes owners were in agreement with this protest, especially after reading this section.

What aggravates the already hostile working conditions delivery personnel experience in the country, are customers who hold their elevator or do not answer the door to postpone delivery in order to get a free pizza. Some customers demand delivery even on extremely snowy days, when many other pizza parlors do not accept take-out orders. |

you can understand the sentiment here
there's nothing worse than a cold pizza (unless it's as leftovers for breakfast) |
