We covered this last time around.
I dodged the bullet last time, but the reports from the front lines where we were promised Pancakes for showing up:

Yes, a fantastic quality event. |

I think he is predicting what will happen. I expect the same.
The embassy staff will ask about how foreigners are badly portrated. A bunch of people will stand up and whine, and then the staff will nod, take notes, and do nothing about it. Either by lack of effort, lack of ability, or both.
I don't feel it's worth my time so I am not going. If I lived nearby, maybe,

No, I'm saying these are topics that are well covered here and generally generate a lot of whining and moaning from a certain contingent of the forums who look for even the slightest thing to claim everyone is a xenophobic racist out to get them.
They've managed to cherry pick just about every topic that does that, most of which are really non-issues, but hyped up by a few bloggers and people looking for an excuse.
About the only thing that is truly useful out of that is the new legislation, but it seems to be tacked on as an after thought, and not the focus of what they're planning.
I'm sure ttompatz could cover the new legislation in a 5 minute post anyway. |

| The list of official speakers is disappointing. Unless the bloggers on the list of speakers have some kind of legal background there's no reason to invite them to speak at an official embassy event. Their blog is their platform and if all they can add is to this event is their opinions then why invite them at all? |

I thought the first presentation was, well awful.
I thought the guest panel that presented during the second half was quite good.
