If this is a repeat question, I apologize, but I have spent quite some time trying to find the answer, which I need fairly quickly.

I have been fired from my current hagwon and want to transfer to another one, and am confused about the situation with the letter of release and visa transfer. I came before January 1st, so I did not need to submit an FBI check. If I get the letter of release, will I be able to transfer to another school without a big ordeal? I am American so I don't know if switching schools is different for us compared to other nationalities. Any info or links would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Yep, you just need to fill out the LOR and some paperwork. This is all assuming you have worked here for 6 months or more. Have you? And you've been fired (lol, why?) are you sure you'll be able to get the LOR?

OP, Do you have another school lined up yet? If you do ask them as they will probably be able to answer those questions.

I just found out yesterday, and I will be here until the end of April, so I will not have been here a full 6 months by that time. No, I havent found a school yet because I just found out yesterday.

There's no way to change schools having been here less than 6 months under my current visa? Even with a LOR?
