I am working for a public school now and looking for a new public school for my next contract. I am unsure whether I need to submit an FBI check. Ive heard mixed things from recruiters. Some people say that as long as I stay at a public school I dont need it for another year. Other people say differently. Next year is my last year teaching here, so if I dont need one, then I would rather not go through the hassle. Anyone know for sure what the current law is? |

The current law is "MAYBE".
Contact your local Kimmi office and confirm for sure whether you are on the list to supply one for a renewal or change of employer or if you can skate by on a simple transfer for another year.
