I am working for a public school now and looking for a new public school for my next contract. I am unsure whether I need to submit an FBI check. Ive heard mixed things from recruiters. Some people say that as long as I stay at a public school I dont need it for another year. Other people say differently. Next year is my last year teaching here, so if I dont need one, then I would rather not go through the hassle. Anyone know for sure what the current law is?

The current law is "MAYBE".

Contact your local Kimmi office and confirm for sure whether you are on the list to supply one for a renewal or change of employer or if you can skate by on a simple transfer for another year.
